Location

Located within the district of Joo Chiat, this area is famed for its Malay quarter and the Straits born Chinese, known as the Peranakan. The combination of the two cultures have produced a unique culture and cuisine all of which can be found in this area of Singapore. Walking along the streets here will produce many interesting surprises in terms of architecture and restaurants that is reminiscent of the town of Malacca in Malaysia.

Exterior

The building is a low rise mauve coloured modern style building that is not outstanding in design. It blends well into the more modern buildings surrounding it and one is hard pressed to tell that it is a hotel. But tucked off the side street of Onan Road is the entrance which is quiet and peaceful.

Lobby

The medium sized lobby is open to the street though full glass panes makes the lobby bright and airy. It has seating areas to the left and right of the wooden counter with a little buisness corner next to it.

Rooms

Room are large for a superior tourist class hotel and look out either on the street inward towards the pool. Bathrooms are done in beige marble with shower in bath. Smoking and non smoking rooms are separated into two wings so that there is no chance of cigarette odour. As with the rest of the hotel very understated, but definitely good value for money.
