Location

Located just off the north end of Orchard Road in a quiet residential district, the hotel is still near enough by a five minute walk to Orchard.

Exterior

The hotel consists of three blocks that have been competely refurbished in 2000. The facade of windows and a roof top made up of curved roofs make up the distinctive Tower Wing. The Garden and Valley Wing are mostly obscured by the lush trees and vegetation that are the hallmarks of the Shangri La Singapore.

Lobby

The lobby is huge with large Doric columns that line the perimeter. Large candeliers supplement the already sufficient sunlight. The floor is in beige marble with seating areas for coffee and stairs leading upstair for more lounging areas for afternoon tea.

Rooms

The rooms are done in resort style with flower prints and tropical furniture. Located outside the rooms is a tropical oasis complete with koi pond and a walk thru garden with waterfall - something that the Shangri La is famous for.
