| Independent ReportsLocationLocated on Temple Street in the heart of old Chinatown where much of the old shophouses still exist. Shophouses were once the abode of merchants who did business on the ground level and their families lived in the floors above. The Inn is itself a coverted shophouse built before the WWII. Within Chinatown, these colorful shophouse lend an air of charm together with some chintzy souvenier shops and some genuine handicraft shops.ExteriorIn perfectly restored condition, the three storey building has a pink exterior and overlooks a side street of Chinatown (Temple Street).LobbyThe small lobby exudes an antique feel like a muesum. Decorated with a large antique sideboard and old pictures.RoomsThe interior of the hotel has a historical feel to it with carved wood decorations and faux antique furniture. The rooms being in a small building is a little cramped. The bathrooms are in white and dark green tiles in antique style although all amenities like shower stalls and taps are thoroughly modern. |
