Location

Mount Koya, registered on the UNESCO's World Heritage list in 2004, is one of Japan's holiest mountains and located in Wakayama Prefecture. The journey to Mount Koya takes the visitor through a cedar tree valley 800 meters above sea level, surrounded by 8 mountain peaks.

Exterior

The ryokan, which is owned by a Buddist temple, is a 3-storey Japanese traditional architecture with a tiled roof, white walls and surrounded by a typical Japanese garden.

The earliest check in time is 14:00 and the latest check out time is 10:00. Dinner is not included, but served in the dining room from 17:00 to 20:00. Breakfast is served in the dining room from 7:00 to 9:00. Dinner reservation required. "Shojin-ryori" or Buddist Monk vegetarian meals are served to the guests.
